Please don't bother counting, Dear Ones! It will be greater than you can remember, recall, or count.
When you want to know the truth of the matter (and I mean the TRUTH!), the answers you are seeking are all around you. If you want to know how you are doing, it is reflected in the friendships around you, the way that you being treated (are people generous or stingy with you?), and how you feel after an encounter or after being in situations.
When you know, for instance, that you behaved badly and that you owe somebody an apology (that you know may accept it, but not forget it), offer the apology. For the times when it is your turn to receive that apology, you increase the odds of receiving it.
Setting the ego aside also means seeing yourself realistically. I recall a moment in the last few months when I stepped on the scale only to discover that I had actually put on a little more weight that I had anticipated. Had I put my ego and fear aside, and stepped on the scale sooner, I would not have had the harsh wake up call that I did. I made immediate changes to my activity and the next time I weighed myself, I was down 10 pounds, and all due to simple changes. EGO kept me from seeing that I had slipped in taking care of myself. I am now back on track and the changes I needed to make are sticking.
I use the analogy of Rome for this article, for it was the EGO of the Caesars that caused the fall of Rome. There was a sense of complacency and a lack of humility. It is said that Caesar played music while Rome was burning to the ground. Even the fires did not wake him up!
Where are the fires in your life? What are you missing by letting your EGO lead? What are you doing to stay grounded, centered, awake, and aware of yourself and people that you love. Are you being a good steward with the Divine gifts that you are blessed to possess? Do you see yourself realistically, and listen to the feedback being offered to you?
Please don't swing the other way, and become a doormat either, Dear Ones! There is a healthy balance here.
Be committed to being the best version of yourself, and have your Divine requests be that of being shown where you are on your path. Be open to the answers around you. Every time that you procrastinate, ego and laziness enter. Every time that you do something on time or early, you achieve healthy balance (and often avoid the penalty!).
When EGO steps out of the way, the love and richness that you are meant to receive flows into your life with perfect Divine timing.
May you always walk in love,
